About Us

With corporate titans such as Microsoft, Amazon, and Boeing as well as renowned clinical giants like Kois, Speer, and the Seattle Study Club, it will come as no surprise that Seattle is one of the world's epicenters in business and the business of dentistry.

Big Case Marketing Systems is headquartered in this same innovative environment. Big Case Marketing Systems evolved out of a ten year search by CEO and Program Founder Dr. James McAnally--an "in the trenches" dentist who still maintains a 1 day a week surgical-prosth practice in one of the world's most competitive dental environments. Big Case Member's routinely refer to Dr. McAnally as the guru of full mouth case marketing and dentistry's "Warren Buffet of Marketing."

He served as President of his class and graduated with honors from the University of Oklahoma which led to his attendance at the competitive GPR program at the University of Washington. After years of advanced CE training and years on the insurance treadmill, he realized that none of that advanced training mattered unless it was put to use helping patients who needed those skills.

Because of those frustrations, he went to industries outside dentistry searching for answers for marketing ‘big-ticket’ items with price points similar to complex dental cases and for sales systems that employed that science of influence and persuasion (the psychology of why people buy).

Out of that search, he developed Systems specifically for dentists to have success at finding patients needing complex dental care (reconstructions and dental implants) and a case acceptance (sales) system to attached to the practice’s marketing to help guide patients into making the best choice for their dental needs. The end result—patients ready for treatment are the ones most likely to show up in doctor’s practices.

During the process, Systems for specialists soliciting referrals from generalists, generalists-specialists working in teams, and generalists and specialists who work as super-soloists were developed.

His tips on marketing and case acceptance reach over 26,000 dentists worldwide in more than 40 countries and on 6 continents. His program members using the Systems from his programs reside on 3 continents.

As a third generation dentist, Dr. McAnally was born and raised in Sallisaw, Oklahoma (population 3000), the starting point for Steinbeck’s "Grapes of Wrath" fame. Raised in a rural setting, Dr. McAnally grew up fishing, hunting, canoeing, camping, and freely roaming the countryside as well as spending time working on friend's ranches and farms.

He has been active over the years with the North West Medical Teams Dental Van and supports various philanthropies including MultiFaith Works.

He has a wide range of interests, including travel, a house full of animals (a cat and two Whippets) and is an active northwest athlete rowing for Lake Washington Rowing Club and competing in IronMan and other triathlons. He speaks French and is learning to surf.
